Yamnaal of the Deluge is a demon, and a member of the Hearthrot Helliquary demons released with Destruction's Wake update.^[1]

C. 1272 Yamnaal made an accord with five other demons to invade Sanctuary. This sextet would later be known as the Hearthrot. Yamnaal emerged in Sanctuary somewhere along Mount Zavain. His entry rent a fissure in the earth which—even after he departed—vented demonic energy, creating a field that caused acidic rain and corrupted the wildlife.^[2] Yamnaal eventually laired at the Sunken Grotto.^[1]

After his death, his head, heart, weapon, hand and foot were sealed within the Helliquary.

In-game[]

Yamnaal of the Deluge is featured as a Helliquary boss in Diablo Immortal. He is the fifth member of the Hearthrot to be fought.

Combat[]

Phase 1: "None shall breath."

In the first phase, Yamnaal fights while riding a tlatch.

Wave: Yamnaal slams his club down and unleashes a wave that travels in a straight line.
- Yamnaal begins the battle with this attack.
Sweep: Yamnaal sweeps his club in a wide arc, causing knockback if hit. A warning semicircle precedes this attack.
- The effective range of this attack is slightly larger than the warning semicircle.
Geyser: Yamnaal summons a geyser to erupt at the player's location.
Steed Charge: Yamnaal commands his tlatch to charge in a straight line, pushing the player. Damage done depends on the distance the player is knocked back.
Summon Minion: Yamnaal summons 5 Demon Assault Troopers to attack.

Phase 2: "Your defiance is delicious."

At ≈90% Life, Yamnaal dismounts. During this phase, a thlatch will occasionally charge at the player.

Yamnaal attacks with the following:

A swipe with his club
Slam: Yamnaal slams his club on the ground, unleashing a tide of water.
- This action is done thrice in a row.
Leap: Yamnaal leaps to the player and slams his club upon landing.
Nova: Yamnaal unleashes 6 watery tornadoes in a nova.
- This action is done twice in a row.
Waterspout: Yamnaal summons a column of water that pursues the player for 10 seconds.

Personality and Traits[]

Yamnaal's joy in slaying mortals is downright subdued next to his relish in the erosion of everything around him. Endless, corrosive rain heralds his appearance; even the sightless tlatch that share his prey have had their eyes worn away in the damp of the Sunken Grotto.^[1]
