Adria, a witch
Witches are female practitioners of magic. They are poorly regarded in Sanctuary,[1] and it was common for members of the Hand of Zakarum to burn them.[2] Kehjistan (or at least Caldeum) had laws against witch burning.[3]
One common theme amongst witches is that they gain power through pacts with otherworldly entities; common being demons. Not all witches made pacts with demons. Some have also been recorded to make pacts with celestial bodies[4] or powerful artifacts.[5]
Witches are not the same as Mystics.[6]
