Due to its high speed, good number of shoots and wide coverage, this trap can still be very effective well past Normal. However, due to its relatively low synergies and innate damage, as well as the higher amount of fire immune and resistant monsters in later difficulties, the efficiency of this skill is not as high in the very later stages of Nightmare and most of Hell.
