"I am Voszalko! I am Kyovashad! I have lived here for fifty years! I was once the Angel's most favorite priest! And now? Dung-slick newcomers don't even know my name!"

- Voszalko(src)

Voszalko is a member of the Cathedral of Light.

Biography[]

Voszalko arrived (or was born) in Kyovashad c. 1286. He joined the Cathedral of Light and had a high opinion of his standing within the church.[1]

In 1336, Iosef told Voszalko about the Wanderer, how they had ingested the blood of Lilith.[1] When the Knights Penitent marched on Hell, he remained in the Cathedral to "keep the faith."[2]

After the death of Inarius, the Cathedral gained new recruits, who were ignorant of Voszalko's (supposed) status.[1]

Blood of the Mother[]

"You--Wanderer! I know what you are!"
"What is it, priest?"
"I know what you are. Iosef told me. He told me about Nevesk, about the blood, about your vision. You think you were saved. Fool. A demon's blood is alive. It will eat you from within, until all that remains is her. Go to Nevesk. Go! You will see the truth there."

Voszalko confronts the Wanderer

At some point after Inarius's death, Voszalko confronted the Wanderer in Kyovashad. He told them that Lilith's blood would eat them from within, and to head to Nevesk to see the truth. There, the Wanderer found a blood petal, and Voszalko presented it as proof that Lilith had sullied them. He offered them an exorcism, and ordered them to find the Child's Caul at Mercy's Reach.[1]

The Wanderer returned to Kyovashad where they presented the Caul to Voszalko. He told them to meet him in the Elysiuma Archives inside the Cathedral of Light.[3]

Inside, Voszalko attempted his exorcism, accompanied by a group of Knights Penitent. However, something went wrong; apparently the Wanderer blacked out and killed the knights. Shaken, Voszalko begged the Wanderer to leave.[2]

In-game[]

Voszalko is an NPC in Diablo IV. He can be found in Kyovashad and initiates the side quest "Blood of the Mother." He was added at some point during Season of Blood, and players must have completed the game's main campaign to access the quest.
