Update promotional events are time-limited events in Diablo Immortal. They offer daily tasks to complete, and on certain days of the event the background picture updates to reveal a teaser for an upcoming update.

Gameplay[]
During the event, XP gained from levelling up the Battle Pass is increased by 100%.
The daily tasks are:
- Defeat 3 Elite Monsters (resets every day) - 1 Beguiling Dust, 40 Reinforced Scrap Materials, 5,000 Gold
- Log in for 2 days during this event - 1 Beguiling Dust, 40 Reinforced Scrap Materials, 5,000 Gold
- Log in for 4 days during this event - 2 Beguiling Dust, 80 Reinforced Scrap Materials, 10,000 Gold
- Share this event (this is completed after clicking on the Save button) - 6 Aspirant's Keys, 10,000 Gold
Rewards for logging in on certain days:
- Day 2: 3 Rare Crest
- Day 4: 1 Telluric Pearl
- Day 8: 1 Legendary Crest
Post-update[]
Some major updates also have a post-update event, with various tasks usually related to the content of the update. These tasks award tokens (usually called Champions' Commendations) and most tasks are usually repeatable, but there is a limit of 1200 tokens earned per week, which resets in 7 days counting from the release of the update. The collected tokens can be spent on the following rewards:
- Legendary Crest - 1000, limit: 1
- Telluric Pearl - 400, limit: 1
- Mystery Legendary Item - 300, limit: 2
- 10 Beguiling Dust - 100, limit: 10
- 100 Reinforced Scrap Materials - 100, limit: 20
- 3000 Gold - 10, limit: 100
History[]
In Grim Preparation, the tasks also rewarded one scroll each, and the cumulative login rewards required a certain number of scrolls (2, 4 and 6 respectively).
