Unstable Anomaly Unstable Anomaly
Passive
Receiving fatal damage prevents the Wizard from dying, instead granting an absorb shield for 400% of maximum Life for 3 seconds, and releasing a shockwave that knocks enemies back and stuns them for 3 seconds. Once triggered, Unstable Anomaly is disabled for 60 seconds.

"It takes perfect concentration for a Wizard to dance on the edge of infinity. Never be the one to break that concentration." —One-Eye Whipple

Unstable Anomaly is a Wizard passive skill, unlocked at level 60.

In-game[]

Unstable Anomaly, for quite obvious reasons, is a mandatory passive for Hardcore characters.

60 seconds recharge time is unaffected by the Cooldown Reduction attribute, regardless of source, but is reset if the Wizard dies naturally.

Unlike other similar abilities, it does not heal the character back, even to 1 Life. Instead, it prevents the attack that would otherwise kill the hero, as if it has never even happened, and shields them afterwards.

Knockback radius is approximately 60 yards, farther than any other Knockback effect in game, enough to send all nearby enemies flying (often into the walls) and free enough space for the Wizard to escape.

Life-saving effect of Firebird's Finery set triggers before the Unstable Anomaly.
