The Unmoored are an order of mystics, and among the rulers of the Cold Isles. They are based on the the Spiral. Unmoored can carry their voice on the wind, though only the council normally can hear them. The Unmoored speak with a thousand voices across a hundred generations. Their wisdom is fragmented and colliding, with moments of clarity and guidance when Pelghain suffers.

Tempests of sufficient mastery in weapons and the elements can also hear the Unmoored. Being able to hear their voice in the wind whispering their name is a sign that a Tempest is ready to become one of them. Tempests who accept the rite of Unmooring shed their physical form and become beings of mist, drifting between stormcloud and seabed while using their vast elemental mastery to ward off the storms that batter their home.

Over time, the Unmoored had to turn more of their attention to deal with the ever-increasing storms buffeting the islands.
