Unity is a Legendary ring in Diablo III. It requires character level 60 to drop.
The unique legendary effect is essentially a Health Link affix for players, splitting unsaved damage taken between all players and followers within 100 yards who are also wearing Unity rings. The exact damage taken is determined by the defenses of the character actually hit, so those taking damage through the link do not benefit from their own protections. A character can be killed by the damage their ally is taking. Dead characters do not take part in the link in either direction.
If either linked target is completely immune to damage (or at least to that elemental damage type), the immune character's hits taken do not get transferred to others. However, hits the other characters take still get transferred to the immune character in the usual proportion, where that damage is immediately cancelled, acting as overall Damage Reduction for every hit.
When Unity is used by both the player and a Follower with the Legendary follower item that prevents them from dying (Enchanting Favor, Skeleton Key or Smoking Thurible), it effectively doubles the player's own Toughness, on par with other endgame Damage Reduction powers. However, this trick does not work in multiplayer.
Stats (Level 60)[]
Unity grants a good damage bonus against Elite Monsters, with that bonus normally unable to roll on a ring, although the amount is less than the Stone of Jordan's. That Magic Property cannot be replaced by enchanting.
