The Red-Cloaked Horror Returns was a Christmas-themed event for Diablo IV. It launched on November 19, 2024 and lasted until December 3, 2024. It had event-exclusive rewards and encounters.

The updated Gileon's Brew for the event

During the event, The Red Cloaked Horror could appear during Nightmare Dungeons, Infernal Hordes, and in place of Hellborne during Helltide. Blightfiends would appear during Helltide ambushes, and the drop rate of Cinders was greatly increased. Defeating the Horror and opening Tortured Gifts during Helltide provided players with an updated version of 2023's Gileon's Brew elixir. The Midwinter Square was "resurrected" in Kyovashad, though Gileon was absent and the special currency and cosmetic store of last year's Midwinter event did not return. The Midwinter Ward could be used once per account to collect gifts.
