The Planks is the sixth storyline quests released with the Terror's Tide update on Diablo Immortal. It starts at the end of Find the Abducted, immediately after the player reaches the Cult of Terror's base in the Planks. It is immediately succeeded by What the Sea Owes.

Objectives[]

  • Search for Clues.
    (The cultists have taken over an area called the Planks, where Esmund's shortcut to Stormpoint Keep is supposed to be. Search it for survivors)
  • Kill the Cultists (0/1).
    Search the altar (0/1).
    Sever the ritual connections (0/4).
    (To destroy the cultists' ritual in the Planks, first sever the four connections to the altar they've constructed)
  • Inspect the statue.
    (You've driven the cult from the Planks. Look for clues to Esmund's shortcut in the area around the statue — he mentioned a cave, but there isn't one in sight)
  • Talk to Esmund.
    (Esmund caught up with you at the Planks. Give him Fern's pendant)
  • Destroy the altar.(1)
    (Destroy the cult's altar in the Planks — Esmund insists this will reveal his shortcut. He's probably keeping something back)
  • Dive into the cave.(2)
    (Esmund's shortcut to the keep is a Tidal Cavern he suggests you swim to. He's way ahead of you)
    • Look for survivors
    • Search for Fern
    • Kill the Cultists (0/10)
    • Kill Akinees (0/1)
    • Follow Esmund and flee the Cave
    • Talk to Esmund
    • Descend the Cliff and wait for Esmund
    • Talk to Esmund

  • Ritual Instruction:
