Transcript[]

- Marnix: You heard the voices from the waters, did you? You're like me. A listener.
- Class: I heard you're willing to teach others to fish. That's all I heard.
- Marnix: They say, "find me, catch me, free me. I don't want to be a fish any longer. I can come back as something better, if you just give me the gift of air, my lord."
Aye, I'll teach you everything the waters told me. Look at them. Emerald and sapphire, all full of treasure.
Fishing Tutorial[]
- Marnix: Bait your hook, and cast it into the waters.
- Cast your line in the water
- Marnix: Give us silence. Wait. Be humbled.

Wait for a fish to take the bait
- Marnix: You've hooked it. Pull the line towards you.
Mustn't let it go. It's bound to you. Catch it. Catch it!

Reel the struggling fish in
- After catching the fish
- Marnix: Very well done. But there's more precious fish yet... if you're patient.
Still your breath, still your heart. Throw your bait out again.
- Cast out your line again
- Marnix: The longer you wait, the better the catch. The waters' justice.

The player reels in prematurely (the timer is still in the first bar)
- Marnix: There's treasure down there. It only costs time.
- After a while (as the timer enters the second bar)
- Marnix: I can taste the bait. It's grateful. Hear it?
- A big fish takes the bait
- Marnix: You have it! Now, like before, carefully...

Reel in the fish
- Marnix: Mustn't let it go. It's bound to you. Catch it. Catch it!
- After catching the fish
- Marnix: Quite an impressive deed for your first try.

End of the tutorial
- Marnix: Don't leave them too long on the line, or they get to begging, and you might feel the pangs. This is what they want. They tell me true once their spirits are freed.
Any fish you spare from the waters, I'll trade you for. I've lots to give. Trinkets from my tomb- crawling days, even.
If you need bait, I can share some for a little coin.
You can come back anytime at all. I'll be here.
