The Gnasher is a normal unique Hand Axe from Diablo II.
The Gnasher is a powerful unique, especially for its level. The Open Wounds and Crushing Blow modifiers help against foes with large amounts of life, and the +8 to Strength can be very helpful early on in the game.
As it is a Treasure Class 3 item, it may only be found in Normal Act I. Its high uqlvl make it a very rare drop.
