For the event/realm of the same name, see Fractured Plane.
The Fractured Plane is a Diablo Immortal quest. It is required to be completed to unlock access to the Fractured Plane. During the event, it becomes available once the player has passed a certain point in the Library of Zoltun Kulle (at the least, the player's character must be acquainted with the Curator). Contextually, the quest appears to occur after the completion of the main game and Diablo's reveal, but this is not a requirement for the quest.

- Cain's Letter:
Greetings my friend,
I have recently come into possession of a relic from Zoltun Kulle's library. The Amber Blade I acquired it from seemed to have little idea as to what it was they were pawning.
It provides passage to a realm of existence that I believe could be of benefit to you. When next you are in Westmarch, come find me.
—Deckard Cain
- Go to Cain's Workshop
- Class: What is that strange rumble? Please tell me that didn't come from Cain's workshop.
- Class: The noise is coming from Cain's library.
- Deckard Cain: (from his library) Quickly, I'm here! I have almost opened the Fractured Plane.
- Enter the library
- Deckard Cain: Lend me your strength. Just as you did with the Worldstone shards.[1]
- Assist Cain with his ritual
- Deckard Cain: Confound it all! I am at a loss. It appears the secrets of this relic evade me once again.
It is a relic from Zoltun Kulle's library that made it into my hands from an Amber Blade. Kulle used it to access the Fractured Plane; a shattered reflection of the mind.
As I understand it, the Fractured Plane is a realm to live as another version of oneself and to cultivate the soul. Unfortunately, whatever power it once held is now gone. - Class: If this relic came from Zoltun Kulle's library, perhaps his Curator could help.
- Deckard Cain: Yes, you may be on to something. Take the relic; I hope you have better luck than I.
- Take the relic and go to the Library of Zoltun Kulle

Meet the Curator at the Grand Vestibule
- The Curator: You've returned...and with a curio that does not belong to this world.
- Class: It's a stone that your master once used to open the Fractured Plane.
- The Curator: Ah yes, the Sumina Glass. it is a fount of unbound chaos and cyclical death. Even the master was wary of it. Count yourself fortunate that the magics it housed have faded.
- Give the Sumina Glass to the Curator
- The Curator: You're here because you foolishly believe you can harness its power, yes? Oh, very well... Bring me the heart of a realm-lord then.
- Class: A realm-lord?
- The Curator: Given what you seek to unleash, you know shockingly little about what you carry. It is a fractured shard of the mirrored world. That is where it draws its power from. The raw essence of those who inhabit the realm.
- Class: I was really hoping I wouldn't have to go back there.
- The Curator: Be warned. You merely peeked into that world before.[2] What you experienced was a far cry from facing a realm-lord. But if you truly wish to return, give me the word and I will send you with haste.
- Class: I am ready.
Mirrored World[]
- The Curator: (disembodied) Good. We've arrived in one place. I've bestowed a portion of my essence on you. Both to guide you...And because it's going to be entertaining watching you try to survive.
You'll find the inhabitants here to be more vengeful than last time.[2] They do not take kindly to repeat intruders. - Class: Gods, I did not miss this cold.
- Monsters from the realm attack the player. Defeat them
- The Curator: (disembodied) It appears fortune smiles upon you. This is an altar to the realm-lord. It is a beacon of raw power.
Use it. Turn it against the inhabitants of this world.
- Examine the Chaotic Altar
- After defeating the Assailants
- The Curator: (disembodied) The longer you remain, the greater foes you will face.
- After defeating the Realm-Lord
- Curator: (disembodied) Impressively done. Now bring the realm-lord's heart to me.
- Exit the Mirrored World
Grand Vestibule[]
- The Curator: You proved capable within the Mirrored World. Perhaps your mind won't be entirely crushed by the Fractured Plane.
Stand back. This would only take a moment.
- The Curator: There, the Sumina Glass is yours to do with as you wish. But I suggest you use it with great caution.
The Fractured Plane may be a reflection of your mind, but for many, there is no greater hell.
- Return to Westmarch
Westmarch[]
- Deckard Cain: I could feel the relic's influence the moment you entered my workshop.
- Class: Yes, the Sumina Glass's power has been restored.
- Deckard Cain: So, the Curator has told you of the relic's true nature. The Fractured Plane is a dangerous realm, yes, but it carries great worth.
- Deckard Cain: If you wish to venture forward, place the glass upon the altar.
- Place the empowered Sumina Glass on the altar
- Deckard Cain: There. It's done.
The Fractured Plane is open to you, my friend. I believe traversing it will help you in your fight against Diablo...But it is your choice. Its rewards are yours to reap.
