The Central Core is a Library of Zoltun Kulle zone in Diablo Immortal.

The Central Core is the power source of the library.[1] The core is made of stone, and was animated by living sand.[2]
At some point, the core shut down, allowing the library to fall into disrepair.[1] Due to its deactivation, a pair of wards went up that prevented access to sections of the library. Despite the Curator's efforts, he was unable to breach them.[3]
In 1270, the Curator led a hero/group of heroes to the core to reactivate it. He tried, but the core failed to reactivate. Instead, it triggered its guardians, which the Curator bid the hero(es) destroy. Afterwards, still unable to activate the core, the Curator bid the hero(es) seek Zoltun Kulle's journal in the Well of Knowledge, as it detailed the inner workings of the library.[4] After he examined the journal, the Curator concluded that because the core was made of stone, and animated by living sand, magic could not reactivate it. They had to bring life to the core itself.[2] The hero(es) returned with life essence taken from the Eternal Guardian, and the Curator used it to reactivate the core. As such, the wards went down.[3]
