Is the spawn rate of the required items influenced by MF? 14:15, June 26, 2012 (UTC)

Shouldn't this info (creating the Staff of Herding) be on the page for Staff of Herding, rather than the page for Whimsyshire?

There isn't ANY information here about Whimsyshire (creatures, drops, even a freakin description), it's just discussing how to make the staff. 17:37, June 27, 2012 (UTC)

You're right. If you have any knowledge on Whimsyshire, perhaps you could take the initiative in putting this article straight.

The following content was taken from the incorrectly-spelled Whimseyshire article and parts may be merged into this article:

Whimseyshire is the "hidden level" in Diablo III, created as a reference to the Cow Level in Diablo II. It is found on the eastern wall of the New Tristram Road area. The pit that becomes the portal to the area initially glows red. In order to The player must walk over a pile of cow bones above the pit to spawn the Cow King's Ghost NPC. The NPC will only spawn under certain conditions:

  • One player must have the staff. The staff must be upgraded to the difficulty being played. All players must have killed Diablo on the difficulty being played.
  • All players must have the staff upgraded to the difficulty playing

After a small dialog, the pit glows in rainbow colors and the portal is opened.

The mini-map is colorful and edged with children's crayon drawings:

Whimseyshire map

Whimseyshire is inhabited by three different kinds of enemies:

  • Unicorns
  • Cuddly Bears
  • Tinkleroots

Any of these enemies may become elite or rare mobs. There are always five packs of elite or rare spawns. There are never champion spawns. The enemies are equivalent to those found in Act IV of the difficulty the game is created in.

There are four kinds of containers in Whimseyshire:

  • Happy Clouds
    • Equivalent to a Treasure Chest
    • Always in pairs of twos, at the end of rainbows
  • Piñata
  • Equivalent to a Resplendent Chest
    • Always found hanging from a tree
    • Does not always spawn
  • Mushrooms and Presents
    • Equivalent to destructible environment items, thus rarely drop gold or items.

An easter egg is randomly found on the map. It is a tombstone reading:

"No difference between the two" Edit

Shouldn't that particular piece of information be corrected? For instance, Princess Lilian is only in Whimsydale, whereas Sir William is only in Whimsyshire. I'm not sure if there are further differences.
