Why Thor[]

While actually it's too many of the gods of thunder, I bet that the name has been selected (back in Diablo II) in favor of Thor: THundergod's VigOR. But that's just me. Pryamus (talk) 03:30, May 21, 2014 (UTC)

I think it is just you. Yes, Blizzard has demonstrated an affixiation with Norse mythology (heck, there's SC units called the Thor and Odin for instance), but the idea that an acronym is present is really stretching it IMO. Especially since the original item was a D2 item, therefore created by Blizzard North, and therefore doesn't have the same chain of reference.
Anyway, you can add it back in if you want. Just doubt it's worth noting IMO.--Hawki (talk) 03:45, May 21, 2014 (UTC)
If it weren't for Mjolnir having a presence in-game, I'd say it could be a reference to thunder gods in general, but Thor had gauntlets and a belt that helped him lift and wield it (the original gauntlets of ogre power and girdle of giant's strength, for those who are D&D nerds). I just wish there were legendary gauntlets to complete the set. 71.10.36.219 17:21, November 21, 2016 (UTC)Tsuki_Ouji
