History of the Monk

The History of the Monk section is not necessary. It almost mirrors a section of the Brotherhood of the Bough article. Any useful information should be transferred to the History section, and in place of this, there should be a redirect to the Brotherhood of the Bough article. Failing that, the said section should be shortened considerably, leaving out only information not touched upon in the history section, and, again, a redirect to the BoB article. This is quite similar to how the Paladin article redirects to the Zakarum page :) The history section is needed, but not two of them, I agree yes. Both sections are also rewrites of each other so there. The Monk and the BoB (heh heh :)) are separate entities like the Paladin and Zakarum, or the Sorceress and the Zann' Esu. Anyways, good to know that you're taking a more active part in the wiki :) "Fear me!!!" (f")f <-- MOBOKILL (Ramblings) 03:49, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

Technical Errors (Gameplay)

Your article contains a few errors. Dexterity does not add more damage than str, they are both equal factors in determening the monks damage. The formulas for the melee character damage are Monk Unarmed/Staff: (Str+Dex) * clvl / 150 Bow : (Str+Dex)·clvl/600 Other Weapons: (Str+Dex) * clvl / 300

Though Dexterity is usually preferred since it increases block chance with staves as well as raising the crucial ToHit stat.

"Monks have some skill with fighting with staves, but eventually they will do significantly more damage bare handed." - I'd suggest rephrasing this section, the way it is written it sounds like bare handed fighting in later stages is superior to fighting with staves, yet staves should always be the preferred method of combat since they gain a sweep attack and allow the monk to block. --Illuyanka 22:28, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
