breasts and legs? awkward phrasing right there —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 85.146.69.158 (talk · contr).

This is named for the historical Lorica Hamata, Roman chain mail armor. The more famous Lorica Segmentata would be the Roman equivalent of plate mail.
adding this in a talk section because everyone on fandom is such a little girl about letting anyone edit anything about their pages, so this will sit here until the site super admin does something to add it otherwise some sad pathetic moderator will strike it because if it isnt their idea, it isnt an idea at all. No matter how accurate. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Internet Forum User (talk · contr).

Hello, site super admin here. Um... no. Despite your passive aggressive condescension, you are not even correct in your claim.
Loricate is an English verb that means to protect with a covering. It comes from that Latin verb, lorico, which means to cover something with lorica, which is a generic Latin term for armor. In other words, Loricated Mail can be read as a protective covering of mail, though is a bit redundant, as a more literal reading of it would be armored mail (and since mail is armor; armored armor).
If it was Roman armor, it wouldn't even be lorica hamata, but rather lorica squamata.
So, no, your inaccurate and pointless trivia will not be added to the article and I suggest you know a bit more what you are talking about before you make such antagonistic statements in the future.
