Page move - previous name is better[]

I'm just going to say this once because it's not worth the argument against entrenched habits of the long time contributors/admins/very protective guardians of this wiki, but: I don't think page titles like this should be Capitalized Every Word. Wikipedia and many other wikis specifically recommend against this (i.e. we are not following the conventions of the general wikisphere), it makes it harder to hotlink terms within articles, and it's not natural English (unless it's a proper name). It makes it harder to identify from the text what is a Specific Name in a game vs a more informal term, and densely written articles mentioning many game concepts in a paragraph become a blur of random capital letters. I don't doubt that at some point there has been a menu or Blizzard post where they capitalized Game Mode, but people have talked about games' modes for a very long time in many ways, and there is no actual reason to consider it some kind of proper name.

That's my two cents. I would love to see this wiki adopt the correct approach (and personally I don't think there needs to be some mass migration, it's fine to do it gradually), but I'm also not planning to waste my breath going back and forth with anyone who prefers to move pages to the less usefully named page title format. - jerodast (talk) 21:13, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
