Dual Wield Crossbows[]

So...how do you do that? Uh, physically? --Cheomesh 13:02, June 17, 2011 (UTC)

Good question. My answer: You don't, but apparently this isn't about feasibility. They must have wanted something really over-the-top for the fifth character class. Personally, they could have toned down the manga styling, used a single crossbow and given it a better name and I would have been impressed. Breywood 13:27, June 17, 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, these classes have yet to really wow me like the ones in D2 (or even D1, which were classic archetypes). The Monk is ok, and will likely be the one I start with, though I wish they hadn't made it obviously a reference to the Shao Lin temple (robes being the biggest). Would have been cool if they found a way to salvage the monk from the D1 expansion, as their story wasn't uninteresting.

The other classes are meh. With the Wizard they missed an opportunity to use the male/female split to give us Vizjiri and Tan Esu at the same time, which is unfortunate. Time magic might be interesting but so far it seems to lack much that will make it so - a gimmick more than a classic. The Barbarian is back, but he appears to have lost 98 levels over the last 30 years or whatever. Now instead of being masters of combat their whole race appears to be the standard meat head berserker barbarians, just with magic fueled by "stamina" this time. Witchdoctor looked silly; why do we need druid/necro hybrid? Just continue the sagas of the druid and necro if you want that kind of magic going on.

It's not like it's unwarranted, Cheomesh. Unless you're over at Bnet's Diablo 3 forums, you'll find a number of people who feel similarly. While I don't think it was wrong to make new character classes so that it is differentiated from its predecessors, there's a line between original and comical, and there's no doubt in my mind that the line has been crossed. And I'm still trying to get over the particle overkill for graphics. Unless there's a playable demo for this, Blizz can keep their game. I'm still looking forward to its release, however, so people will go to D3, stop buying from item sites, and have the ad spammers starve to death because they can't make their bandwith usage payments. :) Breywood 16:49, June 17, 2011 (UTC)

Amen to that! I am glad, however, that some people do like it. For a lot of gamers this will be their first Diablo game, and even I, a long time PC gamer, have a hard time getting to like predecessors once I've had a bite of the successors. For me, however, nothing will beat the reasonably wide options in D2 or the joyful simplicity of D1. Going to miss my weird combos since we're having class specific weapons (Ranger Pallys or sword-a-zons - all passive skill zons - for example). That said I still miss spell books from 1. If it were up to me I'd try to have found a way to hyridize skill and spell from 2 and 1 respectively, but alas that is not a decision I'm really able to make. I'll still buy D3 and I will probably like it on it's own merits (though I admit the effects in that 4 player demo game DID make me a bit dizzy - going to have to crank that down). Bright side is I can still play the other two games - my girlfriend and I still LAN Diablo 1 on some evenings, and my friends often desire to pick up some games of D2 on random.

Skill Listings[]

I want to know if a better skill listing, such as the one demonstrated here on my page, would be better suited for all classes and not just Demon Hunter, as it would be a little more informative if a bit more information was given on each skill, and could be turned into a template. Table Fixes[]

There are a number of skills like Multi Shot, Strafe and Vengeance which are also Diablo II Skills.  Can someone fix the Vengeance entry so I can figure out what to do for future skill conflicts?

I'm not sure I know what you're asking... If both D2 and D3 have the same skill, they should be called Vengeance (Diablo II skill) and Vengeance (Diablo III skill). If that doesn't answer your question, reword it.

Nevermind, I saw your problem... It was missing a space.

I've checked it out and it's still pointing to the Diablo II article.  It's as if it hadn't saved your edit.  It may be a limitation of the tables and instead of a tidy link  named Vengeance, we'll just have to tack the (Diablo III) to it so it redirects properly.  It's a bit disappointing, but certainly not the end of the world.

Fixed now. I am not really sure why a normal vertical bar doesn't work, so you'll have to use the bar template instead.
