I think they might be Tyrael. They support us, are able to open portals, know Horadric secrets, they can't be human and are probably sealed in this body. Considering that only two reformed horadrims are still alive, they might became bitter after the massacre/left of other members. Maybe I'm thinking too much, but I'm sure it's someone we know and I'm almost sure they are not a demon.
