Why is Andariel not the Succubus Queen? Edit

We already know that Lilith is Queen of the Succubi and not in anyway related to the Maiden of Anguish, but what I'd like to know is to what kind of demon is Andariel. According to the Book of Cain, Andariel is technically the first female personification of Evil and as such is regarded as among the strongest of all demons in Hell. The thing that makes me wonder is why the title of Queen of the Succubi was granted to Lilith, who is probably weaker than Andariel, as opposed to the Maiden of Anguish when the latter is obviously stronger lorewise. I mean, isn't Andariel herself also a succubus? If that is the case then essentially speaking she would be under the jurisdiction of Lilith. But that would create confusion since as Great Evil she SHOULD have more authority over Lilith. Sapphirewhirlwind (talk) 15:08, February 17, 2013 (UTC)

I could be wrong, but I don't think Andariel is ever called a succubus within the canon lore (I have not read any books, so I’ll admit, the room for error on my part is expansive). Cain does call her "the demon queen" in Diablo II, Act I. It seems to me demon queen would be a higher title than succubus queen, although this may not be an actual title, just regarding the fact that she is a powerful female demon.
