Túr Dúlra at its prime
Túr Dúlra is located in Scosglen and is the greatest of all the Druid Colleges. It is here that stands the magnificent oak tree, Glór-an-Fháidha.[1] Rune work is also practiced here.[2]
History[]
When the Days of Ash began, Astaroth attacked Túr Dúlra. Many Druids rose up to defend their home.[3] Nafain reminded his disciples that nothing, not even the loss of their humanity, was too great a sacrifice to protect Túr Dúlra from Astaroth's flames.[4] Despite the Druids' defiance, the college fell, and Astaroth trapped the souls of the dead Druids in eternal torment within the ruins of the college. Before departing the demon left Baelgemoth in charge of the tormented souls.[3]
After the conflict, the Cathedral of Light was invented into Scosglen by Donan.[5] Taking advantage of Túr Dúlra's apparent desertion, the Cathedral sent two units of Knights Penitent into the college. The full moon was thought to be a fair omen from the Heavens, but they soon learned what else drew from its power...[6]
In-game[]
Túr Dúlra is explorable in Diablo IV. The great oak and its surrounding druid college were besieged by Astaroth, and the ruins are initially a Stronghold which the Wanderer must cleanse of demons and tormented Druid spirits.
Additionally, Druid players are directed to Túr Dúlra for an important class mechanic. Once the area is reclaimed, Druids can find four animal spirits here, each of which provides four different boons to choose from and improve the Druid's skills. Boons are unlocked by collecting Druidic Spirit Offerings, items which drop from monsters all over Sanctuary. Players can initially have one boon from each spirit, and eventually can take a fifth boon once the maximum amount of Offerings have been made.
