Synergistic Software is a game development company founded by Rob and Ann Clardy in 1978. It expanded its portfolio through both homegrown games and contract jobs.

The studio was brought on to develop an expansion to Diablo, as Blizzard North had moved on to make a sequel. The game became Diablo: Hellfire, which was Synergistic's most financially successful release.

Synergistic was folded in February, 1999, as it and two other divisions of Sierra were closed down.[1]
