Summon Grizzly is a Druid skill in Diablo II.
General Information[]
Synergies[]
- Gives synergy to:
- Raven: +12% Damage per Level
- Summon Spirit Wolf: +15% base + +10% Damage per Level (in-game description wrong)
- Summon Dire Wolf: +15% base + +10% Damage per Level (in-game description wrong)
- Receives synergy from:
- Summon Spirit Wolf: +25% Attack Rating per Level
- Summon Spirit Wolf: +10% Defense per Level
- Summon Dire Wolf: +15% Life per Level (see below for formula)
Note that this skill takes actual skill levels fromother Summon skills including all skill mods from eq, cries etc. into account; this is different to how most synergies work, since usually just blvl i.e. the raw skill points placed, without any mods, are used.
For other Beasts, Grizzly skill grants synergy of increased damage. The description from D2R is wrong - Summon Wolf synergies in D2R still use the former skill('Summon Grizzly'.ln12) and not e.g. skill('Summon Grizzly'.par2) * skill('Summon Grizzly'.lvl) (which is the case for the other synergies in the wolf/bear summon tree in D2R). As a result, the first point put in the skill (or gained via item, see above) gives +25% damage, second +35% damage etc. (can be easily verified by looking at the numbers provided in Summon Wolf damage itself).
Life is calculated as base_life * (100 + 10 * lev + 15 * synergy.lev)%, so the actual impact of synergy is additive with per-level bonus, not multiplicative.
Grizzly Bears are best used in parties. Place points into Dire Wolf to build up the Grizzly Bear's Life through the passive bonus. It's best to also use other beasts and a melee Hireling with your Grizzly Bear in order to spread the damage around.
Unlike Spirits and Vines, all Beasts can be summoned at the same time in Diablo II Resurrected as of Patch 2.4 .
Lore[]
This boon grants the Druid the aid of a tremendous wild bear with huge claws and great fangs that fights ferociously alongside him with terrible strength and unmatched fury.
