Spirit Guardians

The Spirit Guardians are spirit animals that exist within the Spirit Realm.

Lore

The Spirit Guardians are formed from the beings that reside in the realm, becoming Spirit Guardians who grow from massive magical energy concentrating within them. The Spirit Guardians protect the realm and the spirits from the influence of angels and demons. Within the Spirit Realm, each Guardian has their own domain, and has attendant spirits.

Each Spirit Guardian is a manifestation of human belief. As a whole, the Spirit Guardians represent the connection between humans and the natural world. The people of Nahantu call out to these guardians for aid if required. In times of need, Spiritborn will call upon the most suitable Guardian for the task at hand, championing their prowess. It is this adaptability, coupled with their devotion to the Guardians, that makes the Spiritborn the agile and flexible jungle warriors they are. Spiritborn believe that if they devote themselves to this system of belief sufficiently, that once they cross the veil, they'll become Spirit Guardians themselves. It is unclear is this is true however; for instance, Spirit Guardians are able to claim the spirits of those who enter the Spirit Realm. Any spirit claimed by a Guardian is able to roam within their domain. In the case of Ebewaka, the Spirit Guardians went to war over his soul, but none prevailed, and Ebewaka was allowed to roam freely across their domains.
