Skarn in his throne room
Skarn's Throne is Skarn's seat of power in the Realm of Damnation.
Lore[]
Skarn's Throne is located within the Citadel of the Damned, beyond the Molten Egress. It is protected by a gate which would take an archangel's weapon or the full strength and dedicated effort of three angels to breach.[1] A throne made from Diablo's skull resides within Skarn's Throne. When Skarn sits on it, he can absorb power from the bound essence of the Prime Evil.
Recent History[]
Diablo's soul emerges from the Black Abyss
In the year 1270, Skarn obtained a shard of the Worldstone from one of his worshippers.[2] He then retreated to his throne room to attune the shard to himself. He was pursued by the Shard-seeker and they fought in Skarn's Throne after which Skarn was killed. With Skarn's death, Diablo's soul was free to return from the Black Abyss and began reforming in the throne room of his traitorous lieutenant.[1]
Two years later, an agent of the Cult of Terror breached Skarn's Throne, and delivered a large shard of the Worldstone to Diablo.[3]
In-game[]
Skarn's Throne is a Realm of Damnation zone in Diablo Immortal. It is here that Skarn is fought at the end of the base game. It is also revisited in the Dark Rebirth update, when the Bride of Hell gives Diablo a Worldstone shard.
