Protect yourself and your ally with a shield absorbing damage for 5 seconds. This shield also prevents all effects which would cause a loss of control of your character. Protecting an ally will cause you to charge to their location and then grant you both this shield

Variants[]

  • Fire Blessing: Shield of Zen now attaches Fire Blessings to you and your allies, allowing your Primary Attack to ignite enemies. Shield of Zen Damage Increased by 18.0%. It is unlocked by equipping the Legendary main hand tonfa Kindled Unity.
    • Can be cast while moving.
  • Inna's Wrath: Shield of Zen now empowers you, causing a mystic palm to fall upon a random nearby enemy when you use a Skill, and additionally conjuring an avatar of the sky after the third skill used, dealing damage to all nearby enemies. Shield of Zen Damage Increased by 18.0%. It is unlocked by equipping the Legendary main hand fist weapon Sacred Echoes.
  • Shield of Flames: Shield of Zen now protects the Monk or an ally with a shield of flames for 5 seconds that absorbs damage and also deals damage to nearby enemies, but it no longer provides immunity to loss of control effects. When a shield is granted to an ally the Monk also gain a shield. Shield of Zen Damage Increased by 18.0%. It is unlocked by equipping the Legendary main hand tonfa Calefaction.
    • Can be cast while moving.
  • Unwelcome Visitor: Shield of Zen doesn't shield the Monk anymore, but periodically deals damage to nearby enemies. It is unlocked by equipping the Legendary main hand tonfa Fires of Peace.
    • Can be cast while moving.
  • Urgent Care: Shield of Zen now causes the Monk to charge to a specific location, where they receive Shield of Zen while all of their allies gain shields that absorb damage. It is unlocked by equipping the Legendary main hand Fist Weapon Intervening Law.

Buffs[]

  • Enlightenment's Blessing: During Shield of Zen your movement speed increased by 25% and you can move unhindered through enemies.
  • Pacific Pledge: Taking damage during Shield of Zen has a chance to trigger a counterattack dealing damage to all nearby enemies.
  • Pensive Crown: Shield of Zen duration increased by 36%.
  • Purity's Thought: Shield of Zen now also dispels a harmful effect from the target.
  • Wayward Muse: Shield of Zen also increases your skill damage by 15% for 3 seconds.
    • Shield of Zen cooldown reduced by 10%. (Awakened)

History[]

In the December 14, 2022 update, the unlock level was increased from 28 to 41.

In the January 17, 2024 update, the shield amount was increased by 15%.

In the August 21, 2024 update, it was changed to be castable while moving. This also affects the Fires of Peace, Kindled Unity and Calefaction essences.
