The Scholars of Orbei were an order that operated out of Orbei Monastery.

The Scholars, at least initially, were servants of the Zakarum.[1] They dedicated their lives to studying forbidden knowledge, under the premise that to serve the Light, they had to know the darkness.[2] The monks documented every discovery they made, storing their catalogue in a hall of records beneath the monastery.[1]
History[]
The Scholars were operating by the 13th century. In 1236, they discovered the Cages of Binding in Hawezar, and distributed them among their outposts in the region.[1]
