Ruined Expedition is the first of an an optional set of quests in Diablo Immortal. Completing it unlocks the Warband mechanic, and Castle Cyrangar. It triggers by talking to Valstus where he stands beside the Einfrinn Tree, at the Central Square of Westmarch.

Ruined Expedition is immediately followed by Join the Ranks, though if the player is already part of a Warband, it skips to Exploring Cyrangar.

Objectives[]

  • Talk to Valstus, the Warband Steward.
    (Valstus is seeking your aid in Westmarch with a matter of personal import)
  • Look for Ferdinan.
    (Valstus's old comrade, Ferdinan, hasn't shown up in Westmarch after an expedition. Look for him)
  • Talk to the Stranger.
    (A man is yelling after Valstus near the central plaza. Could it be Ferdinan?)

    • Inspect Ferdinan

    • Stop the Ravening Citizens

    (Check on the citizens of Westmarch and make sure they've recovered from the chaos in the plaza)
  • Inspect the Ravening Haze.
    (A sickly green haze appeared before the people in Westmarch's plaza seemed to lose their minds. Make sure it's gone)
  • Talk to Valstus.
    (Talk to Valstus.)

Ruined Expedition
  • Valstus: Got the message? Good — I won't waste your time. An old comrade of mine, Ferdinan, was wrapping up an expedition in Duncraig. We were supposed to meet at the Wolf Gate yesterday.
