Rhodri the Red is a pirate, and captain of the Crimsonblade.
Biography[]

Rhodri the Red drew sea reavers together in opportunism. As his contemporaries fought over shipping lanes, he pillaged distant lands. In Bilefen's waterways, he gathered ancient magic and vile beasts. His one-sided bloodshed is notorious--perceived insults sparked "duels" with Rhodri, his Ichthid pet, and a dozen Bilge Rats against one offender.[2]
At some point, Rhodri obtained one of the three beacons of the Temple of Namari. William Thorpe sent a man to steal it, but the man was captured, and fed to one of Rhodri's monsters. He wrote a note to Thorpe, daring him to take the beacon himself.
In 1270, Jin and her companion(s) fought and defeated Rhodri, taking the beacon.[3]
In-game[]

Rhodri in-game
Rhodri is a boss in Diablo Immortal, encountered during the "Parlay with Peril" quest. Jin is also present in the fight, but makes no practical difference.
Rhodri attacks via melee with a sword thrust, but has a ranged attack, swinging the sword and causing water to erupt from the ground. In the second phase, Rhodri gains an AoE ability (causing debris to drop from the ceiling), and can send a wave of electricity around him. Both are telegraphed to the player. Halfway through the second phase he throws a piece of bloody meat at the player and calls his pet, Brinetusk, to attack the player.
A third and final phase exists for the fight, but Rhodri doesn't act differently during it.
Quotes[]
- "Stealing from a pirate? Certainly a bold way to ensure your deaths!" (at the start of the fight)
- "Brinetusk, come and feed!" (during the second phase)
- "B-bloody...thieves...I hope that cursed thing kills you both." (upon defeat)
Trivia[]
- In dialogue, Jin mentions "rotten little fish creatures" that Rhodri treats like "pets." This can imply that Rhodri had more ichthid pets than Brinetusk
