Resist Lightning is a Paladin Skill in Diablo II.
Lore[]
Even the elements of nature must yield before the glory of the Light. When a knight of Zakarum has manifested this aura, he and his allies undergo a lessening of their body's natural conductivity, protecting them from attacks empowered by electricity.
General Information[]
While active, this aura grants the user and nearby allies a large portion of extra Lightning resistance, as well as a bonus to maximum Lightning resist, both values increasing per level.
When the skill is inactive, the player still receives half of this latter bonus, rounded down (and only counting hard skill points, not points given by equipment). The maximum cap of 95% Resist still applies. Actual resistance is not affected, just maximum resist.
Note that the D2R in-game skill desc is wrong about it, using .5% resolution which is not actually used by the engine due to the value being rounded down to int(.blvl/2) in Skills.txt calc. Also, the desc is wrongly showing exactly the same max resist values for next level (they work as expected though).
