For the Diablo III weapon, see Reaper.

Reapers are the minions of Malthael. They were created with the intent of bringing an end to the Great Conflict.[1]

Lore

The Reapers are a macabre combination of ghastly spirits and baleful constructs. Information on the Reapers is scarce as most who have encountered them have perished. The Horadrim Lorath Nahr was an exception, and he took notes of the Reapers he encountered where no one else could.

The Reapers themselves were created when Malthael invaded Westmarch. The Reapers were raised from the city's slain defenders.[2]

The Reapers are entirely composed of angels who sided with Malthael and undead they raised from the dead.
