The Potion of Life is a unique potion in Diablo II that is given to the hero when the quest The Golden Bird is completed.
In game[]
The Potion of Life is created by Alkor in Act III when the player brings him the Golden Bird, which contains the ashes of Ku Y'leh.
The Potion increases the player's life permanently by 20 when consumed. This may be a nod to Elixirs which increased the player's attributes permanently in the original Diablo.
Due to the quests never resetting after completion, players can legitimately have up to only +60 Life from this potion, once for each of the three difficulties.
