"No, no. Perithan does his very best to avoid me, I'm afraid. I should hope he's praying for his own salvation. We gave up long ago."
- The Wanderer and Matvey(src)
Perithan is a former resident of Margrave.
Biography[]
Perithan resided in Margrave alongside his brother, Lacthan. Unlike Lacthan, he was a troublemaker, and generally detested by the other villagers.
In 1336, Perithan made a deal with a group of bandits. He would lead a group of merchants through a mountain pass, where the bandits would attack. They assured him that it would be a clean job, that the merchants would be robbed, but left unharmed. However, when the attack came, the bandits began killing the merchants. Not wanting to kill anyone himself, Perithan ran, but was caught, and brought back to the bandits' hideout, where he was punished.
Later, Lacthan arrived at the hideout alongside the Wanderer, where they found Perithan. Perithan explained what had happened, and while Lacthan believed him, he pointed out that no-one else in Margrave would. He said they would head through the hideout's smuggler tunnels, head south, and start over. The Wanderer agreed to remain silent as to what had happened.[1]
