The Old Tristram Journal is a tome in the first act of Diablo III. It is one of many books required for the achievement Historian of Tristram. This and eight other tomes are found in Old Keepsake Boxes along Old Tristram Road and in The Old Ruins, though only one or two boxes appear in each game session.
It reads as follows:
- The rumors of torture and worse grow every day. What has happened to Tristram and its king? I once thought Leoric a great man, but it seems I was deceived. We all were. He sends our meager army against Westmarch on the morrow. What will become of us?
