The Normal difficulty is the easiest of the three available difficulties. Characters that are created will be placed in this diffuculty. Characters generally stay in this difficulty until they are level 30.
If a character accomplished the last Quest Act 4 (killing Diablo) in non-expansion he will gain a new titel.
Harcore: Male will be Count and Female Countes
Softcore: Male will be Sir and Female Dame
If it's a expansion character he has to kill Baal in Act 5 to gain a new titel.
Hardcore: Male and Female will be Destroye
Softcore: Male and Female will be Slayer
