Transcript[]
- Alma: Adventurer! Have you seen two children? We were separated during the sandstorm! We only just arrived from Caldeum... I have no one. Would you help me search for them?
They're named Bahar and Ram. My husband, Kaapo, is a merchant, and I fear he has gotten into trouble with the local bandits... the Sand Scorpions. Please, we need your help.
- Follow Alma in search of her children
- Alma: Bahar!
Ram!
- Alma: Those are their toys! I pray they're not far!
- Class: Ram? Bahar? Where are you? Your mother is looking for you!
- Bahar: We're over here! We hid so we wouldn't be blown away by the storm. I told you mother would find us! Ram, stop pinching me!
- Ram: I'm not. Ah! Scorpions! Run!
- Alma: Get away from the scorpions!
- Bahar: Help us, adventurer!
- After killing the scorpions
- Ram: Thank you, adventurer.
- Alma: Bahar, Ram, thank the Gods you are safe!
- Alma runs to her children and hugs them
- Bahar: Mother!
- Alma: I was worried sick!
- Class: Don't worry, they are safe. They found shelter to wait out the storm.
- Bahar: Where is Papa? You said he would be here.
- Alma: I fear the worst. What if those bandits took him to their camp? Please, you have to find it. If Kapo wasn't strong enough to escape, what hope will we have?
- Class: I'll go. The Sand Scorpions aren't known for their mercy.
- Alma: (to her children) Now, keep close to me.
- Alma hugs her children again
- Ram: I miss Papa.
- Alma: Me too. Hopefully, he'll return soon.
- Search the area for a Sand Scorpion camp in order to find Kaapo
- Sand Scorpion Brute: (to the slaves) Ungrateful bastards! How about I teach you the same lesson I taught Kaapo, huh?
The Scorpions give you job and a meal. We are your only blessing in the sand!
(to the player) You should not have come.
- After defeating the Sand Scorpions, check Kaapo's breathing
- Class: Your suffering is over. May you now rest.
- Return to Alma...
- Alma: You've returned! But... where's Kaapo?
- Class: He did not make it. I'm sorry.
- Alma: My sweet Kaapo... I can't imagine life without him. How do I tell my children? What could I say? There are no words.
- Meanwhile the children play nearby
- Bahar: This time, I'm the adventurer!
- Ram: I want to be an adventurer too!
