- Namari(src)
Namari is a nephalem.
Biography[]
Long before the destruction of the Worldstone, Namari and her fellow nephalem defeated Sargoth, a fellow nephalem who had betrayed them,[1] allying with Hell.[2] He was sealed in a temple. However, his power grew, and Namari confronted him in single combat, but was defeated, though Sargoth remained trapped inside.[1] Namari's soul was bound to the temple to ensure that Sargoth never escaped.[2]
Over the millennia, the power of the nephalem waned, while Sargoth's power continued to grow. In 1270, the last of the temple's three beacons were stolen, rendering Namari powerless. Later, she was summoned by the Wizard Jin, who was accompanied by a hero/group of heroes. Namari told them about Sargoth and of the missing beacons. If they were returned, they could stop Sargoth before it was too late. If they aided her, she would give them the objects they sought out.[2]
The heroes returned with the beacons, much to Namari's joy. She ordered Jin to stay at the altar in case Sargoth broke the seal before they were ready, while she led the other hero(es) into the temple.[3] Her spirit ached at the sight of the temple's interior, but nevertheless, guided the champion(s) to the final chamber, where they slew Sargoth.[1]
In-game[]
Namari appears as an NPC in Diablo Immortal. She first appears in the quest "Overgrown Temple" in the exterior of the Temple of Namari. Later, she guides the player through the player's interior, in the Temple of Namari dungeon.
