Merendi was a member of the Vizjerei High Council prior to and/or during the Mage Clan Wars. Merendi "fell prey" to Bartuc's "well-crafted words of admiration.
Later, Horazon erected a statue of Merendi in the Arcane Sanctuary.[1]
