Lunar Awakening is a Lunar New Year-themed event for Diablo IV. It will run from February 6 to 20, 2024.

A mysterious phenomenon is manifesting throughout the shrines of Sanctuary, enchanting them with immense and prosperous power. Celebrators believe this to be their ancestors, blessing them from beyond the grave to celebrate this joyous occasion. Revelers may dress in lunar-themed garbs to befit the occasion.[1]
Gameplay[]
Lunar Awakening applies to both the Eternal and Seasonal Realms of Diablo IV. As it runs, players identify and activate Lunar Shrines throughout all areas and activities found within Sanctuary (this includes both dungeons and the overworld). While active a player will earn 50% bonus XP (multiplicative) and have 30% increased movement speed, a plethora of buffs, all while earning Ancestors Favor reputation.[1]
There are 10 Ancestor's Favor reputation levels that can be earnt, and 6 different lunar-themed cosmetic rewards to unlock. Lunar Awakening themed garments are also available in Tejal's shop.[1]
To take full advantage of the event, players should travel to Ked Bardu and head for the town's northern section. There, they will meet Ying-Yue, the leader of the Lunar Night Market. This market is the central hub for the event, where the player redeems Ancestor's Favor reputation for Lunar Renewal themed rewards.[1]
Additionally, Lunar Awakening themed whisper bounties are available throughout the event making them an excellent place to earn Ancestors Favor reputation while appeasing the Tree of Whispers.[1]
