The Lost Journal is a tome in Act I of Diablo III. It is one of many tomes needed to complete the achievement A Quick Study. It and eight other tomes are found in Old Keepsake Boxes along Old Tristram Road and in The Old Ruins, though only one or two boxes appear in each game session.
The journal was written by a male resident of Tristram and reads as follows:
- I had heard the rumors, but I thought them just fancies of bored women... until I saw them dragging people through the streets today.
- Our own citizens! Has the world gone mad?!
- Old Tristram Villager
Based on the voice and portrait, this journal and the Old Diary seem to have the same author. The contents imply this one was written first.
