Lord Avitus is a super unique Revenant in Diablo IV.

Biography

Avitus was once a member of the Knights Penitent. He killed, burned, and tortured for the sake of his faith, but was killed in Kasama. His fellow knights carried him to the Hallowed Ossuary, but he arose, turning into vampire, and killed all but one of his former comrades.

Within the ossuary, he reflected how his service to the Cathedral had led him only to darkness. Now, his newfound thirst for blood was what gave him purpose. He declared that he would drink the life of Sanctuary forever. This did not come to pass however, as Avitus was slain by the Wanderer.

In-game

Avitus spawns in the Hallowed Ossuary if the player is carrying out the "The Dread Martyr" side quest. He is found in the Rotting Catacombs section of the dungeon. In combat, he has Explosive, Plaguebearer, Shadow Enchanted, and Vampiric Monster Traits.
