Lightning Fury is an Amazon Skill in Diablo II.
Lore[]
Possibly the most devastating, and certainly the most spectacular, of all the techniques learned by an Amazon warrior is Lightning Fury. The High Priestess of Zerae will teach select Amazons the secret of focusing the power of the goddess, consecrating a javelin to become the ultimate weapon of vengeance. The energy contained within the javelin is so powerful that its electrical energy explodes from its stricken target, releasing bolts of lightning that strike down hapless foes nearby. Swift and powerful is the justice administered by an eminent Amazon.

Lightning Fury as seen in game
Lightning Fury is thrown as a single projectile, and subsequently releases a set number of lightning bolts towards each of the surrounding monsters when a monster or solid object is hit with this spell. The maximum number of bolts increases with skill level. The minimum number of bolts is determined by the amount of monsters in close proximity to the one being targeted.
Lightning Fury applies only to thrown javelins, so equipping a spear will not allow casting this spell.
If the javelin goes through the initial target (possible through investment into the Pierce Skill and/or obtaining other sources of pierce, such as the Razortail unique belt or Wisdom Rune Word) then the javelin releases bolts again upon hitting the next hard surface(s).
This skill is excellent for crowd control due to its power and accuracy, although it is lacking when confronted with single, more powerful enemies. It is a staple ranged attack of most Javazon builds.
