Light's Protection

Light's Protection is an Act I campaign quest in Diablo IV. It follows on directly from Light's Judgment, and is the fifth and final part of the "Pilgrimage" chapter.

Objectives

1. Speak with Reverend Mother Prava at Kor Valar (Inarius has judged me, but what that means for my mission remains unclear. I must return to Reverend Mother Prava and hopefully gain the blessing necessary to travel beyond the Black Lake and pursue Lilith.)
2. Return to Reverend Mother Prava (I stood before Inarius in the Alabaster Monastery and received his judgment. I must now return to Reverend Mother Prava at Kor Valar.)
3. Speak with Reverend Mother Prava (I found Reverend Mother Prava addressing the Cathedral of Light and Knights Penitent in Kor Valar. After she is finished, we must walk together to discuss the matter of her blessing and crossing the Black Lake to pursue Lilith.)

• Reverend Mother Prava: Blessed are those who bask in the Light! Let our faith be our armor against the encroaching darkness!

• Reverend Mother Prava: Ah, you've returned.

• Reverend Mother Prava: Come, let us speak inside, out of the cold.

Inside the keep

• Class: Inarius refused to bless me.

• Reverend Mother Prava: Yet you stand before me unscathed. I know his ways. That is approval enough for me.

• Reverend Mother Prava: In the name of the Light, I bless you. May the Light flow through you and keep you from corruption and sin.

• Reverend Mother Prava: Our victory is prophesied in the Heavens.

Optional Dialogue

Before leaving Alabester Monastery, the player may speak with Orlin:

• Class: Inarius didn't seem very welcoming.

• Brother Orlin: No, no, no. You heard him, but did not listen. His voice is music, a symphony of light. Look beyond the words themselves, and you will find truth.

In Kor Valar, the player may speak with Prava. These conversations may occur after the end of the quest, but are listed here for reference:

• Class: What does the prophecy say?

• Reverend Mother Prava: From the Father's voice to my ears: "A spear of light, piercing Hatred's heart." First Lilith, then the Primes. He will deliver us from the Eternal Conflict.

• Class: What will become of Vigo?

• Reverend Mother Prava: Vigo and I had a good conversation when he returned. He will do his penance. Trust that he is in good hands.

• Class: Why is Inarius here on Sanctuary?

• Reverend Mother Prava: Penitence. In the Heavens' eyes, creating humanity was a sin. They cast him down. Now he seeks redemption, and the chance to go home. As prophesied, slaying Lilith is that chance. When he ascends, so shall we all.
