  • curprev 10:1510:15, 1 March 2024Jerodast talk contribs 18,614 bytes +431 Okay...for better or for worse, turns Blizz posts have been pretty clear Whispers ARE legendary gems, so rephrased to include that. Removed separate section for Weird Legendary Gems and just put them in bullets in the main section, which I think justifies NOT enumerating all the exceptions to normal mechanics right away. Minor rephrasing in Upgrading section. Tag: Source edit

  • curprev 19:2619:26, 28 February 2024Jerodast talk contribs 18,183 bytes +1,389 New section - I struggled to decide what to call it, but basically wanted to note which items are SIMILAR to the "normal" LGs but not quite the same. Arguably it was not necessary to restate the three "oddball LGs" here, but they sort of get lost in the shuffle of all the other gem details in the main description, and it's noteworthy that the designers consciously made these 3 different from the others (especially the Red Soul Shard). • curprev 09:3009:30, 28 February 2024Jerodast talk contribs 16,793 bytes +306 1) you don't really "unlock" something active as soon as it drops. 2) better links for weapons and helms. 3) explained unique-equipped term. 4) format LG names. 5) rephrased rule for how the random gem is selected, added similar note for Boon. • curprev 09:1509:15, 28 February 2024Jerodast talk contribs 16,487 bytes +415 fine to leave most details to the main article, but easy enough to summarize the stat gain. Added a couple links. Relevant to compare Whispers and Soul Shards to normal gems here. Tag: Source edit
  • curprev 09:0709:07, 28 February 2024Jerodast talk contribs 16,072 bytes +924 1) references and some additional notes based on them. 2) some sites say the 1% upgrade chance goes all the way down to 15 level difference now; while I can't find a Blizzard source for when this change was made, it seems more likely to be up to date than some of our old pages. • curprev 08:3408:34, 28 February 2024Jerodast talk contribs 15,148 bytes +530 1) Patch changes and references sections. 2) Move note about level cap to general gem info, it's not just about the upgrade process. Tag: Source edit
  • curprev 07:4307:43, 28 February 2024Jerodast talk contribs 14,618 bytes +579 1) changed chance listing to a horizontal table, seemed more appropriate for this kind of numerical spectrum. 2) more detail about which gems can be upgraded. 3) bullet points for the two extra upgrade chances, hopefully more clear phrasing. 4) explained a bit more about success chance. 5) removed outdated notes about getting to 25, which is quite easy now, and maxing out at 100, which is subjective and certainly not true with Altar of Rites and general power creep Tag: Source edit
