A Greater Rift Leaderboard

Leaderboards are a feature for Diablo III, added in Patch 2.1.0 in connection with Greater Rifts and Seasons. They track and rank accomplishments in several endgame activities, allowing players to indirectly compete against each other while maintaining the game's PvE focus.

Overview[]

Leaderboards keep track of progress made in Greater Rifts, Seasons (and seasonal achievement points), and Conquests. They compare players to others in the gameplay region, as well as friends and clan members. Each type of board tracks progress differently.[1] Seasonal Leaderboards reset at the start of each new season.

Greater Rift Leaderboards[]

Greater Rift Leaderboards are split between Hardcore and Normal (non-Hardcore) game modes as well as Seasonal and Non-Seasonal characters. Greater Rift leaderboards are divided into categories to recognize players in the context of each playstyle:[1]

The highest rank is awarded to the player(s) who have successfully cleared the highest rank of a Greater Rift on time. Of those people, those who have completed it faster will get a higher rank.

Season-only Leaderboards[]

Some Leaderboards only apply during Seasons. Conquests and Seasonal achievement points are only tracked on Seasonal characters, so these boards never have non-Season equivalents. In addition, because achievements are account-wide, that leaderboard is not split between Normal and Hardcore.[1] Each Conquest specifies whether it applies to Normal or Hardcore, although all Conquests are categorized together.
