- Deckard Cain(src)
Kashya is the field captain of the Sisterhood of the Sightless Eye.
Biography[]
Kashya was raised by Akara, who acted as a surrogate mother to Kashya for as long as she could remember. When she was young, Akara told her tales of the Amazons' fearlessness in battle and of their skills with the spear and bow.[2] Moreina was her closest friend.[3]
The Maiden of Anguish[]
Andariel drove the Rogues from their monastery to Blood Moor, prompting them to set up an encampment. Kashya was aggrieved to share the camp with "common traders" and farm animals, and doubted that Akara had the steel to retake the monastery by force. When she was approached by a group of adventurers, she dispatched them to the Den of Evil and asked them to clear it out. They succeeded where her Rogues had failed.[2] She next bid that they slay Moreina, who had been resurrected as Blood Raven. Once again, the heroes succeeded, and while they were once friends, Kashya prayed that Moreina's spirit may never return to the world. Impressed and grateful, she granted several of her Rogues at the heroes' disposal.[3]
The heroes went on to slay Andariel herself. Kashya admitted that she may have misjudged them, and bid them farewell.[4]
The Bloodsworn[]
- Kashya to the hero(es)(src)
Six years later, Kashya led a group of Rogues through the Dark Wood. The Bloodsworn, a group of traitor Rogues, were in the area, and had comitted numerous attrocities. She intended on striking down their leader, Lakrii. By chance, she and the Rogues encountered a group on the edge of Blackstone Village under attack by the Bloodsworn. She and her Rogues intervened, repelling the cultists. Kashya stayed with the survivors, while she sent her Rogues in pursuit. Of the group, she recognized Alyssa, daughter of Lucian, now dead on the ground before her. She deduced that Lucian was dead as well, which begged the question as to who the girl's companion(s) were.
The hero(es) gave Kashya a letter that Lucian had written. Reading it, Kashya mused that Lucian was right to have been afraid. Blackstone was completely destroyed, but they could avenge the fallen. She asked the hero(es) to join her band in their attack on Lakrii.[5] However, circumstances changed when Flavie returned, informing her that the Rogues she'd sent in pursuit had been ambushed by the Bloodsworn. She ordered Flavie to take the injured back to their battle camp, while requesting that the hero(es) deal with Lakrii. She would catch up with them later.
Kashya entered the Bloodsworn Den, and found the hero(es) with Hemlir; a Druid they'd rescued. However, he was bleeding heavily. The hero(es) went to deal with Lakrii, while Kashya took Hemlir back to the camp.[6] The camp later came under attack by Fallen, but the attack was repelled through the aid of Kashya's ally/allies, who spoke to her afterwards. They informed her that they had driven the Bloodsworn from Blackstone, but that Lakrii had escaped. Kashya wasn't perturbed, reasoning that it wasn't their fight anyway. She instructed them to see Akara, and show all proper respect.[7]
Kashya later led a party of Rogues against the Bloodsworn in the Forgotten Tower. However, the Bloodsworn fought back ferociously, and Kashya sent Flavie to Akara to request aid.[8] Kashya was captured,[9] but the Countess was slain by the hero(es),[10] and Kashya saved. Outside, she admitted that she had misjudged them (not for the first time), and admitted that she needed to work on that. The hero(es) confirmed that a shard of the Worldstone had resurrected the Countess, and Kashya asked that they take it to Cain. She told the hero(es) to send the Sisterhood's regards to Cain and Charsi, and that the Rogues would remain in the Dark Wood to ensure that the Bloodsworn did not return. However, if they needed the Sisterhood's help, all they had to do was ask.[11]
Later, Kashya requested aid from Westmarch to deal with Night Howlers in the southern part of the Dark Wood.[12]
In-game[]
Diablo II[]
Kashya is an NPC in Act I of Diablo II, located in the Rogue Encampment. She is cynical and distrusting to the player character, with the exception of the Amazon class. She also dislikes Gheed (as does most of the camp). Kashya is wary of outsiders and a battle hardened veteran. She is wary of Warriv and the hero's arrival in camp.
After the hero proves him/herself, Kashya grants a Rogue Archer to accompany the hero in battle. The completion of the quest also earns her trust, but she only shows full respect after the player has killed Andariel.

Apparently, Andariel is not content to take only our living. Blood Raven, one of our finest captains in the battle against Diablo at Tristram, was also one of the first to be corrupted by Andariel.

Gossip about Kashya[]
Some of the other locals give their thoughts concerning Kashya.
Diablo Immortal[]
Kashya appears as an NPC in Diablo Immortal. She features in the Dark Wood questline, and is the provider of the "Night Howlers" bounty.
Personality and Traits[]
As hard as nails, Kashya doesn't shy from talking about blood and gore. She is a bit impatient and curt with those who have yet to gain her trust.[13] By her own admission, she is naturally suspicious of outsiders,[11] and there are few "outlanders" that she trusts.[2] She possesses great expertise in strategic and tactical matters.[14] Kashya has a high regard for the Amazons, and likes to think that the Rogues have much in common with them.[2] She holds great respect for Akara, but also something beyond that, commenting that the high priestess "is like a mother to me."[7]
Deckard Cain had a high opinion of Kashya, regarding her as one of the finest archers the Sisterhood had ever produced.[14] Kashya had a less charitable view on Cain however, wondering how a man of such supposed great wisdom could become wise if he'd never learnt how to wage battle himself.[2]
