Kasama is an ancient nephalem city located beneath the Fractured Peaks.
Lore[]
Kasama was built under what humans would later call Pine Hill. Great statues of Lilith and Inarius were erected, and murals carved into the ground, depicting the history of the Eternal Conflict, the creation of Sanctuary, and the birth of the nephalem.[1] The city had three main gates—the Gate of Kasama (the entry to the city), and the Ancient Gate and Gate of the Cradle, each of which provided entry deeper into the city.[2]
By 1336, the city had been overrun with demons.[1] A Knights Penitent garrison was also located just beyond the city's outer gate; said garrison was slaughtered by Lilith when she gained entry to the city. The Wanderer and Neyrelle made their way through the city in pursuit.[2]
In-game[]
Kasama is explored in Act I of Diablo IV.

Points of Interest[]
As the player moves through the city, they can find chalk writings by Vhenard, detailing her journey through the city beside Lilith. They can be found on pedestals, the icon saying "Chalk Writing Over Ancient Symbols." They are listed here in chronological order:
- The Eternal Conflict: Lilith showed me the ugly truth of our cosmos. The Eternal Conflict. Angels and demons over control of all creation for all time. To what end? I asked, and she simply laughed.
- Forbidden Love: Lilith saw a way to escape the Eternal Conflict. She tells me it started with the seduction of the angel Inarius. All this time, he was just as fallible as any man.
- Sanctuary: Lilith is Sanctuary's mother. Somehow, I felt the truth of it the moment she said it to those Knights. Now I know how. She used Inarius to craft this world, a refuge from the Eternal Conflict.
- The Firstborn: All my life, I sought the origin of humankind. It was always her. From the union of demons and angels came the first generation of humanity. They were powerful. Movers of mountains, shakers of seas.
- Rathma: She was so proud in the telling of this part. Lilith and Inarius bore a son together: Rathma. He is wise beyond years, the first to untangle the power of necromancy. She says his lair lies deeper in...
The writings continue through the Cradle and the Mourning Shore.
