Iron Skin is a Barbarian Skill in Diablo II.

The harsh grasslands of their homeland offer the Barbarian people little refuge from the elements. Constant prolonged exposure to the sun, wind, rain and other elements has toughened their skin to the resilience of natural leather.
General Information[]
Iron Skin bolsters the total defense by 30% at level 1 and provides 10% more per point afterwards, allowing options of more offensive equipment while still retaining a good chance at avoiding the damage of melee/ranged physical attackers.
Beneficial skills like Shout and Defiance do not take the effects of Iron Skin into consideration, and are calculated based on the Barbarian's base defense. On the other hand, hostile effects that lower Defense by a % such as Conviction, are also less effective because the effects do not take Iron Skin into consideration as well.
During Berserk, all Defense is lost even with this skill; there is no way to bypass it.
